"... Now is the move of the branches of an olive tree,
now that of the waves
in the wide sea below,
now the song of a bird ... "
These are the words used by the poet M. Novaro to describe his land in the western part of Liguria: an inextricable blend of water, rocks and olive trees, which is also the quintessence of Prino Valley.
Its river outlet is still overlooked by the harsh outlines of Bonazza and Prarola towers, once protecting it from Saracen attacks. Here lies Borgo Prino, an ancient fishermen’s village made up of houses with colourful facades soaked in sea salt.
From here, eastward, you may admire the superb view of Parasio, Porto Maurizio’s old town centre, with its clusters of buildings, streets and monasteries.
Following the successful experience of their restaurant, Lucio and Mara would like to extend their offer of a pleasant stay at Borgo Prino. They have just set up a small and cosy guesthouse, fully furnished with every comfort.
